Almond katli

You can easily prepare this sweet within 15 mins to stun your surprise visitors. 

Planning & Pre-Preparation: 10 mins

Cooking time: 15-20 mins


  • Soak Saffron in water for 10 mins & keep aside.
  • In a pan, dry roast Almonds/Badam for 2 minutes.
  • Add the roasted Almonds/Badam to a mixer grinder and grind it into a fine powder. Keep aside.
  • Start making sugar syrup by adding sugar & water to a Kadai to form a one-string consistency.
  • Once one string is achieved, add Almond/Badam powder to the sugar syrup & mix it quickly to avoid lumps. Keep stirring in between.
  • After few minutes, soapy consistency will be formed. Add ghee & mix well.
  • Add the saffron water & mix well.
  • After few mins of stirring, wavy the pattern will be formed.
  • For checking the consistency, take a pinch of the mixture from the Kadai and shape it into a tiny ball. If it holds shape, then the consistency is just right.
  • Transfer immediately to a greased plate & let it cool down.
  • Once it has cool down, cut into your desired shapes & serve.
